Pests we treat in Brussels
Rats and mice
Locked, numbered bait boxes on the runways, a search for entry points such as sewers, service ducts and vents, and follow-up visits until the activity stops. We do not use snap traps.
Bed bugs
An intensive steam treatment of every hiding place, combined with a targeted chemical treatment where needed, followed by a check visit. We do not heat the whole room.
Cockroaches
Targeted treatment of hiding places near heat and moisture, with bait gel rather than spraying, and a follow-up visit a few weeks later to reach the next generation.
Wasps and hornets
Nest removal with protective equipment, also at height. If the nest is still active after our visit, we come back free of charge.
Fleas
Treatment of the home and a check after the pupal stage, alongside treatment of your pets by the vet.
Ants
Slow-acting bait that worker ants carry back to the nest. Pharaoh ants are never sprayed, because the colony splits up.
Pigeons
Advice on and installation of bird deterrents on facades, balconies, ledges and signs.

Restaurants, hotels and food businesses
The Belgian food safety agency AFSCA (FAVV) expects every food business to run a self-checking system with documented pest control: a map of the bait stations, visit reports and a list of the products used. We work outside opening hours, with unmarked vehicles, and provide the documents you need for an inspection. For hotels, we treat bed bugs room by room to keep rooms out of use for as short a time as possible.
Who handles rats in Brussels
In the Brussels-Capital Region, the municipalities are responsible for rats above ground and Vivaqua has the sewers treated. The City of Brussels runs its own service, while other municipalities refer residents to a private company. Inside your home or business, pest control is your own responsibility. In an apartment building, inform the property manager, because cockroaches and bed bugs move between apartments through service ducts.
